Oct 22, 2015 | Harrison College
This event is a great opportunity for you to build your professional network as you meet with local employers who will be on campus to discuss externships, internships and share information about employment opportunities they have available.
This is an opportunity to network with employers in the area and learn about the types of positions they have available. You will be excused from class to attend this job fair/networking event. Everyone's participation is greatly appreciated.
Here's what you can do to prepare for this event:
1) Be ready to interact with employers and/or our guests, regardless of your current job search status (i.e. seeking employment, not seeking new employment, etc...). Share with them something about you, your experience, about Harrison or ask them questions about them or the positions they hold professionally.
2) If you are seeking new employment or an externship, please come prepared to share your resume and to talk with potential employers about the opportunities they have available and to determine if any would be a good fit for you!
3) Please practice good etiquette (strong hand shakes, big smiles, positive body language) and build up your confidence. Come prepared to market yourself well!!! If you need assistance with your resume, please make an appointment with Lauren Lyon, Director of Career Services, as soon as possible.
This is a great time to get to know others who work in professional capacities in the community and to expand your personal network to those who may not be directly related to your field of study. Having this type of extended network is very beneficial to your future career, regardless of what path you choose academically. For more information about the event, speak with your Director of Career Services,
Look forward to seeing you there!
