The seven board of trustees members are responsible for the oversight of Harrison College by adopting rules, regulations and policies that govern our operations. They meet four times per year to discuss items such as:

Kenneth J. Konesco

Role at Harrison College

Jason T. Konesco joined Harrison College in 1999 as director of admissions. Konesco was promoted to assistant executive director, corporate director of career services and business development, vice president of finance and business development, senior vice president of operations and president and CEO before settling into his roll as president emeritus.

Konesco is responsible for maintaining Harrison’s mission to deliver a student–centered education that prepares students for career and life success. He is passionate about students improving their lives and their communities through higher education. 

Professional Experience

Konesco is a board member for the following organizations:

  • Academy of Art University
  • University of Advancing Technology
  • Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation
  • Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site
  • Cathedral High School

He has co-chaired the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) professional development committee and has presented at the APSCU Leadership Institute for several years. His work in education also involves being past commissioner with the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).

Prior to Harrison, Konesco worked for Brightpoint, Inc. in Indianapolis and Phillip Morris U.S.A. in Minneapolis. At Brightpoint, he was responsible for training, finance, marketing, forecasting, contract negotiations and developing IT interfaces.

Konesco also participates in youth coaching, mentoring/tutoring and is an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Craig Pfannenstiehl

Craig Pfannenstiehl is president of Bay State College, a regionally accredited two- and four-year college in Boston. Mr. Pfannenstiehl spearheaded the reorganization of Bay State’s management team, initiated and managed the development of their first fully integrated strategic plan, developed the strategy for online course offerings and oversaw the transition into the Commission of Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Mr. Pfannenstiehl serves as a member on Harrison’s board of trustees and on Bay State’s parent company, Bay State Education Corporation.

Denny Sponsel

Denny Sponsel is President of RJE Business Interiors, and has spent over 36 years in the office furniture industry. He is a native of Indianapolis and attended IUPUI School of Business.

Mr. Sponsel serves on the United Way of Central Indiana Board and was also the 2007 Campaign Co-Chair, Chair of Resource & Development Committee. He is on the Community Board for the IUPUI Library, IU School of Informatics Advisory Board, the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library Foundation Board of Directors, the Chair of Mother Theodore Catholic Academies Board of Trustees, Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. Board of Directors (Chair) and the Rotary Club of Indianapolis 2008-09 President, Chair of Board of Trustees Harrison College, Methodist Health Foundation Board, Indiana Historical Society Board, Chair of Div. 8 2012 Super Bowl Committee, Inaugural Big Ten Football Championship Committee, Indiana State University School of Business Dean Advisory Board and served as Past Chair of NICDC Dealer Council.

Denny and his wife of 31 years, Cathy reside in Greenwood. They have four children—Deanne, Shelly, David and Mike—and seven grandchildren.

Interests include family, business, community history and sports of all kinds.

Kimberly W. Blanchet

Kimberly W. Blanchet is a partner with Barnes & Thornburg LLP's Indianapolis office and focuses her practice in the Governmental Services and Finance Department. Ms. Blanchet graduated from Indiana University- Bloomington in 1994 with a degree in Business-Marketing. In 1998, she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University-Indianapolis.

Ms. Blanchet has worked on a variety of financings involving counties, cities, towns, regional water and sewer districts, hospitals and school corporations. In addition to acting as bond counsel, she has participated in public finance transactions in other capacities, including underwriter's counsel and issuer's counsel.

Ms. Blanchet has four children and a wonderful husband, who reside in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ms. Blanchet enjoys running, teaching step interval classes and reading. Her family is also very active within their church, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Mr. Blanchet is heavily involved in their children's activities and sports.

Paul C. Eberhardt

Paul C. Eberhardt retired after spending 21 years working for Bryant & Stratton Institute as the Vice President of Human Resources/Personal Administration. During his tenure there Paul was responsible for training, benefits design, implementation and personal administration for over 900 employees throughout 10 different locations.

Mr. Eberhardt received the Army Commendation Medal for service at the United States Disciplinary Barracks, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where he did work for the Army Prison, which held 1,000 inmates. During this time period Mr. Eberhardt was an U.S. Army 1st Lieutenant, Finance Officer.

Mr. Eberhardt currently resides in Clarence, New York, which is just outside of Buffalo with his wife of 43 years, Mary Joan Coleman Eberhardt. Mr. Eberhardt was blessed to have four wonderful children and six grandchildren. Mr. Eberhardt was also fortunate enough to be a part of the Distinguished Military Graduate Commissioned, 2nd Lieutenant U.S. Army Finance Corporation.

Peggy Welch

Peggy Welch is a part-time practicing nurse at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital Hospice House. She earned her bachelor’s in education from Mississippi College and associate degree in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington. Ms. Welch works full-time as the Executive Director of the Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers Council (IMDMC). Before joining the IMDMC team, Ms. Welch served 14 years as a State Representative for Indiana House District 60, which encompasses portions of Monroe and Morgan Counties. She was a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, the House Health Committee and the State Budget Committee.

Ms. Welch is a member of several organizations and boards, including the Indiana Leadership Prayer Breakfast. She has been honored by numerous organizations for her work on issues impacting safety, senior citizens, military personnel, home health, persons with disabilities and small businesses. She has been recognized by the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce as one of the area's "Women of Excellence" and as "The Woman of Vision" by the Indiana University Office of Women Affairs.

She and her husband, David Welch, are active members of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church. They have one married son and two grandsons.

Dr. Nichole Wilson

Nichole Wilson has made it her mission to impact the lives of others through her leadership in health care and service in the Indianapolis community. Wilson is the Director of Physical Therapy and Rehab as well as the Sports Medicine program for Community Health Network. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic growth, business development, marketing strategies and financial success for 14 clinics that offer physical, occupational and speech therapy services. She also spearheads Community’s Sports Medicine program, which provides sports medicine staff and services to 14 schools in the Indianapolis area.

Dr. Wilson’s dedication to service and philanthropy is shown in her work as as a mentor and facilitator for the Center for Leadership Development. In addition, she serves on the board with College Mentors for Kids, Harrison College, and the Children’s TherAplay Foundation. Wilson has also received numerous awards for her renowned goodwill and professional accomplishments. This includes the 2009 Indy’s Best and Brightest Award for Health and Life Sciences, the 2010 Mentor of Excellence Award in Health from College Mentors for Kids, 2011 Indiana Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 class, 2011 Pike Alumni Hall of Fame, 2011 McDonald’s Black History Makers of Today and Tomorrow Award, 2012 Alpha Kappa Alpha Gisele Casanova Regional Leadership Award and the 2012 University of Indianapolis Distinguished Young Alumni Award.

To further cultivate her community involvement, Wilson is a graduate of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series (SKL) and serves on the SKL advisory council and the finance and program committees for the Lacy Leadership Association. She is also a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), where she holds several leadership positions.

Wilson has a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from DePauw University, master’s and doctoral degrees in physical therapy from University of Indianapolis, and an MBA from Purdue University. She resides in Indianapolis with her husband, Corey Wilson.
