Dr. James D. Hutton, President

Choosing the right college can be a difficult decision. Whether you are a recent high school graduate, a working mother who wants to improve your life for yourself and your children or a soldier who has served admirably in our nation’s armed forces, the choices for continuing your education can seem limitless.

If you are looking for a school that provides career-focused education in a supportive, empowering environment, Harrison College may be the right choice for you. We are dedicated to helping our students achieve their goals and follow their dreams.

What makes Harrison different?

  • We know our students—their lives and families, obstacles and motivations, and their dreams and goals. But we also know their potential—that is why Harrison provides a supportive environment, empowering students to improve their lives.
  • Our faculty and staff are focused and committed to seeing students succeed. From being available to help students after hours, to walking them through the financial aid process, we are truly student-centered in all that we do.
  • In order to provide the most relevant curriculum, our faculty and staff connect with employers in the community to talk about industry needs and challenges. This, along with our lifetime career assistance, ensures you are receiving a relevant education and guidance to find a job after graduation.
  • Our flexible schedules make it possible for you to balance home, school and work life. With online, day or evening classes and instructors who will get to know you personally, you will be given the support and encouragement you need to make your dreams a reality.
  • With a student-instructor ratio of 12:1, a collaborative community for online students and library resources, you will find exactly what you need to succeed.

Since we opened our doors in 1902, we have helped more than 75,000 students improve their lives through education. Over the years, our philosophy has remained the same: by gathering feedback from employers about the skills, knowledge and abilities they need from employees, we are able to provide an education that allows you to be confident and prepared in your careers.

Currently, Harrison has more than 3,000 students pursing degrees in six schools of study. More than 90 percent of our students receive some sort of financial aid to assist with tuition and many others take advantage of the available scholarships that we offer. Our financial aid representatives are eager to help determine the best financial plan to empower you to pursue your education.

We know the challenges you are up against. Whether you have a family to take care of, you feel stuck in a rut with limited options to accomplish your dreams or you are afraid of the unknown—we are here to help.

Best of luck with your future,

James D. Hutton, Ph.D.

President and CEO
