Greg Wallis is executive vice president and chief financial officer for Harrison College, directing the organization's overall financial plans, policies and accounting relationships with lending institutions and the financial community and establishes financial controls and standards to safeguard assets. In addition, he oversees the College’s Title IV financial aid program and related compliance, as well as tax reporting and investor relations.
Prior to his promotion to EVP/CFO, Mr. Wallis served as vice president of student financial services & finance at Harrison College.
Mr. Wallis has extensive experience in both higher education and public accounting, having served as vice president of finance at ITT Educational Services, prior to joining Harrison College. At ITT, he oversaw the systems, processes and staffing for the school’s $1.4 billion-dollar student aid program and developed and executed strategic plans for student aid funding, including federal student aid, state grants, veterans’ benefits, private loans, accounts receivable and collections and default prevention. He also developed relationships with federal, state and private lending organizations and identified new sources for student financing.
Mr. Wallis is a Certified Public Accountant who spent 10 years with Arthur Andersen’s audit practice early in his career. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. Mr. Wallis and his wife, Betsy, and two children, Ethan and Danny, live in the Castleton area of Indianapolis.
