High School Student Scholarship

The Harrison College High School Scholarship is available to high school seniors interested in pursuing their education at Harrison College.

You may be qualified for one of four scholarships granted to career-focused and success-driven high school seniors. Awards include:

  • One scholarship covering full tuition costs for an associate degree (divided evenly across each term of enrollment)
  • One scholarship covering half of the tuition costs for an associate degree (divided evenly across each term of enrollment)
  • Two $2,500 scholarships used toward tuition costs (divided evenly over the first three terms)

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a senior in high school graduating by June of the current year
  • Be interested in attending Harrison after high school graduation
  • Show academic progress toward graduation
  • Maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA or greater while attending Harrison
  • Complete all necessary entrance enrollment requirements to Harrison
  • Submit a video entry by May 15 if selected for video interviewing

Application and Selection Process

  • Submit completed scholarship application online by May 15, 2016.
  • Submit a 500-word essay describing their chosen career pursuits and why they chose Harrison College to achieve their career goals.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a school or work reference (i.e. teacher, coach, manager, counselor)
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a relative (i.e. parent, guardian, sibling, grandparent, aunt/uncle, etc.)
  • Submit a brief video (not to exceed 5 minutes) describing their chosen career pursuits and why they chose Harrison College to achieve their career goals. (Student should upload their videos to YouTube and email the link with their name to Scholarships@Harrison.edu.)
  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed
  • All completed applications will be reviewed after the May 15, 2016 deadline by the Harrison College Scholarship Committee to determine the four finalists. The first place finalist will receive a Full Tuition (Associate) Scholarship.  The second place finalist will receive a Half Tuition (Associate) Scholarship. The third and fourth finalists will each receive a $2,500 Scholarship Award.
