Certified nursing assistants are vital to patient care services and provide essential support to health care teams. As a certified nursing assistant, you will be responsible for assisting licensed nurses with direct patient care in diverse health care settings, helping patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming and eating, colleting important data such as vital signs and intake and output and working hard to make sure patients and families are comfortable.
If you are compassionate, hardworking and willing to learn, you have some of the core qualities that make a successful certified nursing assistant.
As a certified nursing assistant, you can expect to make around $25,100 per year, according to O*Net.
The nursing field is predicted to grow, according to The Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Bureau of Labor Statistics states, “the increasing demand for home and community-based long-term care will lead to increased opportunities for in-home health and community rehabilitation services.”
