Our Associate of Applied Science Degree in Therapeutic and Clinical Massage offers you more than 1,200 hours of classroom and hands-on instruction.
Before you start your career, you will also extern at the Harrison College Training Spa, a chiropractic office or a physical therapy or rehab facility. Are you an outgoing person ready to work with your hands in an active, exciting career? This program may be right for you.
Therapeutic and clinical masseuses have mastered an understanding of the body and its functions along with relevant massage techniques and therapeutic skills. Your job duties as a therapeutic or clinical masseuse may include specialized massage, such as sports massage, therapeutic massage, neuromuscular therapy and kinesiology. You will also interact with clients, determine their needs and select the necessary techniques their condition requires, which can include additional aides such as aromas, temperature variations, water and light.
