Lafayette, IN (May 8, 2016) — Harrison College, a nationally accredited, career-focused higher education institution serving more than 3,000 students worldwide, will host a blood drive with the Indiana Blood Center on Tuesday, May 10 at its Lafayette campus at 4705 Meijer Court, from 1-5 p.m.
Harrison students will roll up their sleeves to donate blood, and the community is encouraged to stop by and lend an arm.
“Harrison College is proud to give our students and the public a chance to give back to the community in such a meaningful way,” said Cindy Clampitt, campus president of the Harrison College Lafayette campus. “Through Harrison’s medical assisting program, we have a strong focus on and dedication to the health care field, especially here in Tippecanoe County.”
Harrison College offers degree programs in business, criminal justice and health sciences at its Lafayette campus.
For individuals interested in donating, the Indiana Blood Center recommends drinking lots of fluids and eating a good meal the day of the donation. Donors will also be required to present a picture ID.
