Vicki Thomas

Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences

Role at Harrison

As Associate Dean and Curriculum Manager of Health Sciences, Vicki Thomas is responsible for curriculum review and accreditation compliance for 11 campuses, including distance learning. She monitors and enhances teacher effectiveness to ensure students receive the best education possible while at Harrison.

Professional History

Thomas began her career in health care as a hospital staff charge nurse, and has worked in higher education as an adjunct instructor at a community college. She also served as educator and supervisor in home health care. Prior to her time at Harrison, she was a medical program coordinator and instructor at Indiana Business College in Terre Haute, Indiana. As a volunteer, she assists with mission trips to Haiti, provides meals for the homeless and serves as an advisory board member for Cengage Medical Assisting. In addition, Thomas serves as a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
